Rejected Claimants Successful At George Ide LLP
Mr and Mrs L, a retired couple, were travelling in the front seat of a bus when the bus braked sharply and they were propelled out of their seat and on to the floor suffering injuries. Mr and Mrs L saw an advertisement for legal services fronted by Ester Rantzen and made contact with that company who referred the claim to solicitors in Hampshire.
Those solicitors pursued the claim but met with stiff resistance from the bus company and their representatives and ultimately the claim was rejected and the solicitors indicated that there was no reasonable prospect of success.
Mr and Mrs L made contact with George Ide’s personal injury department who obtained cover from their existing legal expense insurers, despite the rejection of the claim by previous solicitors, and entered in to discussions with the bus company. The bus company again steadfastly rejected the claim and Proceedings were issued. After filing a Defence a without prejudice offer of settlement was put forward and, following further negotiations improved offers for both Claimants were received and accepted.
Mr L said:
“Having been told by Accident Advice Helpline we would not receive any satisfaction we then approached George Ide solicitors who then offered helpful, courteous, friendly advice, never giving up on our claim until an offer was made and accepted.
George Ide were on our side every step of the way. A top class firm with services to match.”Personal Injury Blog
