Heartfelt thanks to clients and staff who made a will for St Wilfrid’s

For private client solicitors, one of the most important parts of the job is helping people ensure their final wishes are carried out according to their true intentions. From planning the inheritance of your estate, making provision for your family or passing on your treasured heirlooms, to deciding who is going to feed the cat – making a will can bring you peace of mind in the present, and save your loved ones a great deal of stress in the future.

What better way, then, for the wills and probate professionals at George Ide to combine serving their community with helping their clients than by raising money for an amazing local charity through its annual Make a Will Fortnight summer fundraiser?

Based in Chichester, for the past 30 years St Wilfrid’s Hospice has been serving its local community by caring for people in the last phase of life and offering support to their families. As an independent charity, the hospice relies on legacies and donations from the public to carry out its invaluable work, and everyone at George Ide feels privileged to help.

Under the Make a Will Fortnight scheme this summer, participating solicitors from across the Chichester area offered their will-making services free of charge for two weeks in June. In return for waiving our fees, we asked clients to consider making a donation to the hospice – and we are very proud that this year George Ide’s will-making clients donated more than £6,700 to the local hospice in this way.

I would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to St Wilfrid’s Hospice Make a Will Fortnight initiative in 2017. My colleagues and I are pleased to have been involved with this annual fundraiser for the past seven years, and delighted that so many of our clients have taken part.

We look forward to meeting you!
