We act on behalf of a broad range of clients and deal with matters including divorce and separation, financial remedy proceedings, private children law, cohabitation disputes, and applications arising from domestic abuse.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Family Solicitor (1–2 years PQE) to join our family department. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Head of Department, assisting senior fee earners whilst managing an appropriate caseload. They will work closely with the support staff in order to effectively manage their workload and will be encouraged to develop their expertise across all aspects of family law.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting senior solicitors with complex and high-value cases
- Managing a caseload of family matters with appropriate supervision
- Drafting applications, statements, and other legal documents
- Attending client conferences, hearings, and mediations as required
- Providing timely and accurate legal advice to clients
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional obligations
- Working in accordance with the Resolution Code of Practice.
The Candidate
We are seeking an individual who demonstrates:
- Qualification as a solicitor (1–2 years PQE) with a genuine interest in family law. We will also consider applications from experienced Paralegals who are part way through their legal studies.
- Sound technical ability with strong drafting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of client care
- The ability to work efficiently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
- Professionalism, integrity, and discretion when dealing with sensitive matters
- Competence on IT packages including Excel, HMCTS Portal and Practical Law
- Experience of advocacy is desired, but not a requirement.
