Compensation news – Woman is compensated for the loss of her husband

11th May 2012

Her husband had been cycling on the A1 in the county of Rutland when a lorry collided with him, causing him severe chest and abdominal injuries. These personal injuries sadly proved to be fatal.

In October 2010 Leicester Crown Court heard that the driver of the lorry admitted to causing death by dangerous driving.

He was sentenced to 16 months in prison but served less than six months.

Now, the cyclist’s widow has received more than £200,000 in bike accident compensation for the loss of her husband.

The lady’s solicitor stated, “The settlement finally draws to a close what has undoubtedly been a devastating time for [the deceased’s] family.”
