Web of professional negligence deceit grows for Sam Raimi

03rd December 2012

The complaint was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on 16 November detailing a number of claims against Goldman including an overcharge of fees totalling USD 72,783 (GBP 45,729).

On 7 November the FBI indicted Goldman for multiple cases of embezzling money from clients such as Tom Hanks and former guitarist for The Police Andy Summers. Each of the 10 cases brought by the FBI could see Goldman awarded custodial sentences of 20 years apiece.

In court papers Raimi not only seeks to recover the money fraudulently taken from him, but he has asked the court to award professional negligence compensation as punitive damages for his financial suffering, plus costs and interest.

Goldman was arrested on 7 November at his California home, but was released on a USD 25,000 (GBP 15,700) bond put up by his wife.
