Britons asked to choose their ideal home

25th March 2013

Imagining that money was no object, the respondents were asked various questions relating to their ideal home. Reportedly, the majority of individuals would prefer to live in a detached property, while 23% would buy a country house.

In addition, about two-thirds of those polled decided that it was “essential” to have a big garden, 47% listed a walk-in wardrobe as a “key feature”, and nearly 50% of respondents desired a property with a multi-car garage.

When it came to location, a quarter of respondents would favour a house which was situated in a rural village, others preferred a property on the coast, and just 14% of individuals would purchase a home in London.

Moreover, the research suggests that many homeowners would choose to live in the South West or South East of England. Therefore, they could potentially benefit from the services of a George Ide residential conveyancing solicitor.
