Havant Stroke Community and Awareness Day
The Mayor and Mayoress of Havant held the Stroke Community and Awareness Day last week, during which people were invited to have their blood pressure tested at The Plaza in Civic Centre Road.
By checking blood pressure, changing diet, doing more exercise and losing weight, an individual can reduce their risk of suffering a stroke.
Stroke clubs, stroke survivors and their carers, families and local residents, all turned up for the event, which was held by the Mayor Councillor, Paul Buckley – a man dedicated to the Stroke Association charity.
Anyone who has suffered a stroke, due to medical negligence, or was not given suitable treatment during or following a stroke, could be entitled to claim compensation for the brain injury they sustained.
