George Ide is participating in Make a Will Fortnight 2013
In order to make sure that your property, possessions, or funds are distributed in accordance with your wishes after your passing, it is absolutely essential to create a will. Although it is possible to do this without the help of a specialist wills solicitor, those who do so usually increase their chances of making errors or rendering the document invalid.
However, according to consumer organisation Which?, creating a will with the help of a professional can cost hundreds of pounds. Even those seeking a basic one might be put off by the price – often paying at least £200 + VAT to have their decisions recorded.
These harsh economic times have resulted in many individuals having to tighten their belts, so, starting from Monday and running until 20th September, George Ide is offering to help people write or make changes to standard wills – for no charge.
A number of law firms, including our team of wills lawyers, are supporting Make a Will Fortnight 2013.
By participating in this event, which has been organised by St Wilfrid’s Hospice, our solicitors will offer basic services in this area for no charge, but will ask that clients make a donation to the charity in exchange – and we’re really looking forward to taking part.
