Woman breaks arm in car collision

23rd August 2013

The incident, which involved two vehicles – a Honda Civic and a BMW – resulted in her car leaving the road and coming to a halt in a ditch.

She sustained a broken arm as well as cuts, and was taken to St Richards Hospital in Chichester for medical treatment after fire fighters freed her from the vehicle.

The other driver involved, a 35-year-old man, escaped without any personal injuries.

If investigations reveal that the male motorist is liable for the collision, then the woman might be able to claim road traffic accident compensation from him.

However, if the lady is found to be responsible for the incident, she will be unable to receive remuneration. Furthermore, since the man did not sustain any physical harm, he would not have grounds to launch a claim unless he – and a medical professional – felt he had suffered psychologically.
